Mariners 10-game Catcus League winning streak snapped

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Seattle’s 10-game winning streak being snapped by the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.Though it is still very early on in spring training, there were many positives to take away from not only this game, but also from the winning streak. That being said, the Mariners–and especially Blake Beavan–do have some areas to improve in before they are truly ready for the regular season.

This week Franklin Gutierrez was placed on the 7 day disabled list and Steve Delabar was promoted to take the roster spot. This gives the M’s fewer options off the bench for the next week. The All star game is close. Felix Hernandez is the only guy going. Lets hope the 4 days off will be a good breath of fresh air for the struggling team.

Mariners make second round of 2012 roster cuts

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell tells us Aaron Heilman, Matt Fox, Sean Henn, Josh Kinney, Jeff Marquez, Oliver Perez, and Trayvon Robinson were roster cuts casualties today for the M’s 2012 roster. For the guys sent down on Saturday, they will have to wait for their shot to be on a big league club again. Maybe mid season call ups, maybe next season.
