NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson recaps Oregon’s upset win over the St. Louis Billikens on Saturday. Forwarding their momentum from their victory over Oklahoma State, the Ducks used impressive efforts from Damyean Dotson and Arsalan Kazemi to keep their season going. Despite the win, however, the Ducks still need to cleanup their turnover issue and get Dominic Artis back to continuous production.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson previews Oregon’s NCAA tournament game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys that is slated for a 1:40pm tip. The Ducks are still dancing this year and will have a great shot to play the spoiler to Oklahoma State and prove to the nation that they deserved to be much higher than a 12-seed. The last time these two teams met on the court, Oregon took care of business and beat the Cowboys by 13 on December 28, 1987.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s recent performance in the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament as well as their 12 seed in the upcoming NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. While it was great to see the Ducks win the Pac-12 Tournament for the first time since 2008, their 12 seed is a complete joke and they deserve to be ranked higher. That being said, playing the underdog card throughout the rest of the season won’t be a bad thing, either.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s No. 21 ranking in the latest AP Top 25. After a few years spent being the Pac-10/12 college basketball punching bag it looks as though the Ducks are back from the depths and ready to show the nation that the University of Oregon is much more than just a football school.
Oregon Hoops blogger Jason Green points out the obvious. March Madness is a slim possibility. The Oregon Ducks led by E.J. Singler will have to win some big Pac 12 games and get off to a great start, since the Ducks only face one team ranked in the preseason top 25 in the first half of the season.
Oregon Ducks hoops preview time. While the loss of big man Jovan Catron hurts the Ducks inside, the addition of freshman shooting guard stud Jabari Brown helps them bigtime. For my Pac 12 preview, I had the Oregon Ducks finishing 5th in the conference just behind the UW Huskies, with both teams moving on in March.
