Raul Ibanez is back in Seattle for a third stint with the M’s

Raul Ibanez

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with his top 5 things that he doesn’t like about the Raul Ibanez signing in Seattle. Veteran leadership isn’t needed right now, the youth of today is ready to stand up and be accounted for says Clinton. With the signings of both Ibanez and Jason Bay, two M’s OF’s will now be expelled back to the daily grind in Tacoma. This seems like a step backwards for the franchise.

*My* Seattle Mariners 2012-2013 off-season to do list

Jack Z

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with his top 5 things that need to be addressed this offseason. Big bats are needed for the Mariners in 2013, the walls are coming in, and the biggest bat on the market is Josh Hamilton. The back end of the rotation is in need of repair, and there are two capable prospects ready to make the jump. 1b is another big spot, time to get Jesus Montero a glove and get him some fielding drills.

Moments in time…The Seattle Mariners week that was

See ya Jason, and thanks for all the wins. Good luck in the future. (photo Yahoo! Sports)

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with another M’s Week That Was. Intended to be a fun column, with lots of laughs and other good stuff. Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. The week started off with a sweep. The Mariners did find a way to win two in LA. Jason Vargas was back to his winning ways. Remember when the M’s traded for Jesus Montero and Hector Noesi?
