Brad Evans propelled the Sounders to victory in this one, taking home the man of the match honors with two goals, one of which came on a penalty. The win put the Sounders ahead of RSL on the goals scored tie breaker going into the final week of the season.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Sounders writer Clinton Bell brings us his Love Em & Hate Em recap from Wednesday nights match up with Real Salt Lake. Not a win, but we did earn a point in the 0-0 draw. This game got chippy early, and stayed that way for the entire match. A total of five yellow cards were handed out. Not a whole lot of great scoring chances, but Cordell Cato and Zach Scott both had excellent chances. The defense, led by Jhon Kennedy Hurtado kept the Sounders in this game and forced the draw.

Sigi Schmid fielded a less than steller team, but the Sounders got the win thanks to two goals from Fredy Montero. Bryan Meredith was strong in net recording his second straigh clean sheet. Rookie Cordell Cato finally got into a game.
