Five Kings I would like to see in a Sonics uniform

Isaiah Thomas

Peter Edlund is getting excited about the potential of a return of the Seattle Supersonics to the great Northwest. The potential move of the Sacramento Kings would land a handful of exciting players in Seattle, including DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson and Marcus Thornton. Tyreke Evans is another solid candidate, but the combination of he and Cousins hasn’t led to success thus far.

My five best Isaiah Thomas Memories

Isaiah Thomas

Among the memories are his commitment to UW, his last-second heroics against the Arizona Wildcats, an epic showing against Klay Thomas in the Pac-12 Tournament and the 2011 draft, which saw him turn pro for the Sacramento Kings.

Losing Kings record could land Seattle with number 1 pick

Cody Zeller Indiana

NWSB Insider and Seattle SuperSonics blogger Clinton Bell gives us his two choices for lottery picks the future Sonics should take a hard look at come July. Cody Zeller, and Nerlens Noel lead Clinton’s picks for much needed big man help on this Kings/Sonics roster. DeMarcus Cousins has the ability to be an All-Star for many years, but he needs a little help up front. Zeller has the offensive ability the Kings lack up front, while Noel is a defensive mastermind that will help on the low post.

Are we close to welcoming the NBA back to Seattle?

Sonics

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the rumors of the Sacramento Kings being sold to Seattle. Though there were early reports coming from the daughter of NBA agent David Falk that the Kings were being sold to Seattle (which were quickly dismissed), Seattle having a basketball team in 2013 became more concrete when Adrian Wojnarowski, a reporter for Yahoo! Sports, tweeted that the two sides were very close to an agreement.

Checking in on the future Seattle SuperSonics

Isaiah Thomas Sacramento Kings

NWSB Insider and Seattle SuperSonics blogger Clinton Bell gives us the first of his series “Checking in with the future Seattle SuperSonics” pieces. As their record shows, the Sacramento Kings aren’t anywhere close to being a contender yet, but they are just about where are Sonics were when they were stolen from us. A great core of exciting young players will have this team in position to contend when the changing of the guard happens in the Western Conference.

Damian Lillard

NWSB Insider and Portland Trail Blazers blogger Jon Irwin breaks down the Blazers vs. Kings matchup. The Headline: The Trail Blazers finally find win No. 3 on the back of Damian Lillard, topping the Kings 103-86. Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews were great in this win, making a lot of shots. But Portland was beat badly in the paint, and that was against a shorthanded Kings team!

Wouldn't Monta Ellis and the rest of the Bucks team look a lot better in Green and Gold? (photo AP)

NWSB Insider and Northwest basketball blogger Steve Lee asks the question, which current NBA team could make the move to Seattle? With the thought that Seattle would be aquiring a current NBA team that will relocate to Seattle once Chris Hanson’s new SODO arena is built. Sacramento would bring Tyreke Evans, Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins. And then there’s the thought of expansion, but who really wants that to happen?
