Mariners escalate response to Gutierrez pectoral injury.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson tells us today at M’s spring training practice outfielder Franklin Gutierrez suffered a pectoral injury this week. Gutierrez’s injury has escalated to what Manager Eric Wedge has described as “Considerable Concern” and has been flown to Seattle for more extensive examinations with the team doctors.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson tells us today at M’s spring training practice outfielder Franklin Gutierrez suffered a pectoral injury. Gutierrez appeared in only 92 games for the Mariners last season and hit only a single home run and hit a measly .224 although his bat was starting to heat up toward the end of the year, before he was strained an oblique after swinging his bat too hard.
