Don Levin trying to bring the NHL to Seattle…

NHL IN Seattle

NWSB Insider and northwest sports blogger Alistair Corp tells us today that Don Levin has publicly emerged to try to bring an NHL team to the Seattle area, and he’s prepared to spend $100 million. The development popped up three days before King County discusses and votes on investor Chris Hansen’s proposal to build a $490 million NBA and NHL arena. Wayne Gretzky was in town too. Coincidence?

*My* five damn good reasons why the M’s trading Ichiro was a good move

Ichiro Suzuki, Seattle Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson weighs in on his five good reasons the Ichiro Suzuki trade today with the Yankees is great for the M’s franchise. The Mariners Ichiro traded to the New York Yankees

Ichiro Suzuki

NWSB Editor and Seattle Mariners blogger Q weighs in with the breaking news that the Mariners Ichiro Suzuki has been traded to the New York Yankees. Mariners vs. City of Seattle

Most everyone who knows steve knows how much he loves the M’s and how much he stands up for the franchise, but even he admits this letter will leave egg all over the face of Mariners brass. He can fully understand their intent, but Chuck Armstrong and Howard Lincoln need to be quiet.

Sodo not the right location for new teams? #thingsthatmakemegohmmmm

Sodo District

NWSB Managing Editor Q tells us that the Seattle Mariners yesterday sent the city of Seattle a letter. Chuck Armstrong and Howard Lincoln are opposed to the SODO development plans being put in place by business man Chris Hansen. It would bring scheduling, traffic and parking challenges that would likely require hundreds of millions of dollars to mitigate. OR would it take away money from your luxury boxes and gate revenues?

Memo to Seattle Mariners ownership: Stop selling us mediocrity

Jack Z

Seattle Mariners blogger Insider Steve is going on a rant. He’s back to tell us he understands what the Mariners are trying to do. When your franchise bottoms out, it takes time in the rebuilding process. He’s calling out Ownership. Jack Zduriencik is the only one that seems to have a direction, that’s asinine he says. Ownership is supposed to be the one leading by example. They’re not.
