This week the M’s released Hong-Chih Kuo, Shawn Camp, and Cesar Jimenez. Making the Mariners starting five Jason Vargas, Felix Hernandez, Hector Noesi, Kevin Milwood, and Blake Beavan.

Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson today reports that Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle announced the M’s have signed relief pitcher Shawn Camp and Hong-Chih Kuo. To make room for them the Mariners have designated Chris Gimenez and Mike Wilson for assignment. These moves probably indicated that Chone Figgins is likely to be used as a utility player.
