NWSB Editor Bryant Knox brings us his weekly video recap of the Portland Trail Blazers. In Week 7, the team from the Pacific Northwest went 4-0, taking down the Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons. LaMarcus Aldridge deserves credit for his MVP performance against Dwight Howard. Damian Lillard also gets recognition for his shooting against Philly.
Bryant Knox previews the Portland Trail Blazers March 16 matchup against the Detroit Pistons. Portland has played both up and down to its competition this season. Detroit enters the Rose Garden as the coldest team in the league, which means the Blazers need to assert themselves as the alpha dogs early in the contest. The key matchup falls at the point guard position where Damian Lillard will take on either Brandon Knight or Jose Calderon. Lillard was outplayed by Knight last time around, but the Pistons’ floor general is doubtful with an ankle injury.
NWSB Writer Steve Lee takes you on a journey through his experience with the 2012 NBA Draft. After extensively combing through the mock drafts on ESPN, CNNSI, YAHOO, and pretty much everywhere in between and beyond for the past week and all through the morning, the day is finally here. Lee updates on picks and goes in depth about the Blazers draft picks. Meyers Leonard and Damian Lillard.
NWSB Insider and Northwest sports blogger Steve Lee tells us five teams that should draft Terrence Jones in this years upcomming draft. Of course number 1 on this list it the Portland Trail Blazers, as Jones is a native Oregonian, but other than Portland, Steve tells us that the Phoenix Suns would be a nice place for him to land as well. Complementing Marcin Gortat, Markieef Moris, and Jared Dudely in a big lineup. In Portland, Jones could run the wing with Nic Batum moving to shooting guard.
