Last week it was Marshawn Lynch to avoid free agency, this week Heath Farwell, Red Bryant and now Michael Robinson have been re-signed by John Schneider and Pete Carroll and the Seahawks.
Seattle Seahawks blogger and NWSB managing editor Q tells us the attorney for free agent linebacker Leroy Hill says charges of marijuana possession in Atlanta have been dropped. Hill’s lawyer, Edward T. M. Garland, says urine tests taken after the arrest came up negative. A team can now sign Hill without worrying about discipline from the NFL stemming from this incident.
Portland Trailblazers blogger Jason Green tells us the end of the season will show how Nicolas Batum’s contract situation plays out, but he for one would like to see him in a Blazers’ uniform for the next few years. The Blazers have experienced the qualifying offer situation first-hand in the last few off seasons, offering big free agent contracts to Paul Millsap in 2009 and Wesley Matthews in 2010.

Q reports Greg Oden is returning to the Portland Trail Blazers sometime in 2012. The center who is a free agent will reportedly sign a one-year offer with the Blazers. He turns 24 in January, and will be paid $8.9 million this season. He missed all of last season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his left knee on Nov. 19. Greg Oden hopes to join Brandon Roy et al in late January or early February.
