After going down quickly, the Sounders managed a way to creep back into the game with not one, but two goals from Freddy Montero. We couldn’t hold the draw though, going back down by two before halftime.

Steve Zakuani returned to the pitch during the Sounders 2-1 victory over Colorado last week, and on Thursday night 9-year Sounder Roger Levesque announced his retirement.

The return of Steve Zakuani against Brian Mullan has finally happened, and Alvaro Fernandez scored his first goal of the year. Sigi Schmid has to be happy with this result. Maybe the new lineup sans Fredy Montero is a sign of things to come.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Sounders writer Clinton Bell brings us his Love Em & Hate Em recap from Wednesday nights match up with Real Salt Lake. Not a win, but we did earn a point in the 0-0 draw. This game got chippy early, and stayed that way for the entire match. A total of five yellow cards were handed out. Not a whole lot of great scoring chances, but Cordell Cato and Zach Scott both had excellent chances. The defense, led by Jhon Kennedy Hurtado kept the Sounders in this game and forced the draw.

This game got chippy early, and there was a stretch of about thirty minutes where the whistle was blown evey minute, but there were a ton of scoring chances.
