Clinton Bell one of our Seattle Mariners bloggers is back with his 2012 Mariners forecast for the lead-off batting position. He tell us five reasons why moving Chone Figgins to the lead off spot will not only jump-start his career, but bring the Mariners a chance at more run support for their starting pitchers. Only time will tell.
NWSB Managing editor “Q” tells us Randy Johnson and Dan Wilson two legendary Seattle Mariners will be inducted into the Mariners Hall of Fame on July 28 at Safeco Field, before a game against the Kansas City Royals. Randy and Dan will become the fifth and sixth major leaguers in the Mariners Hall of Fame. Already in are Alvin Davis (inducted in 1997), Dave Niehaus (2000), Jay Buhner (2004) and Edgar Martinez (2007).
Our Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson knows your looking for Michael Pineda + Jesus Montero MLB Trade Analysis. The depth at catcher in the M’s organization is practically nil. Miguel Olivo has been serving as place holder. Jesus Montero could be the next Jay Buhner or Edgar Martinez in a M’s uniform.
Great Seattle Mariners analysis on the configurations of the fences at Safeco Field in Seattle. Remember Alvin Davis, and Ken Griffey Jr.? It may be better to leave the fences where they are, invest the money into good pitching and solid defense to invest in Mike Carp or Dustin Ackley while in prime and before being courted by the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees.
