Born February 19, 1935 in Princeton, Indiana. Niehaus was massively popular in Seattle, twice being named Washington Sportscaster of the Year. Despite the M’s struggles to qualify for the post season, neither Niehaus or the fans of his broadcasts waviered.

Seattle Mariners Baseball: Top 10 Players Since 2002

Felix Hernandez

A lot of incredible MLB baseball players to roll thru Seattle and play for the Seattle Mariners since the turn of the millennium. Our Moments in time points out they didn’t all play at the same time. So to do the Seattle Mariners of 2012.

Randy Johnson & Dan Wilson inducted into the Mariners Hall Of Fame

Dan Wilson

NWSB Managing editor “Q” tells us Randy Johnson and Dan Wilson two legendary Seattle Mariners will be inducted into the Mariners Hall of Fame on July 28 at Safeco Field, before a game against the Kansas City Royals. Randy and Dan will become the fifth and sixth major leaguers in the Mariners Hall of Fame. Already in are Alvin Davis (inducted in 1997), Dave Niehaus (2000), Jay Buhner (2004) and Edgar Martinez (2007).

Will the Mariners Jesus Montero be the next Jay Buhner?

Jesus Montero Mariners

Our Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson knows your looking for Michael Pineda + Jesus Montero MLB Trade Analysis. The depth at catcher in the M’s organization is practically nil. Miguel Olivo has been serving as place holder. Jesus Montero could be the next Jay Buhner or Edgar Martinez in a M’s uniform.

How moving the fences at Safeco could ruin the Seattle Mariners

Mariners Ken Griffey Jr.

Great Seattle Mariners analysis on the configurations of the fences at Safeco Field in Seattle. Remember Alvin Davis, and Ken Griffey Jr.? It may be better to leave the fences where they are, invest the money into good pitching and solid defense to invest in Mike Carp or Dustin Ackley while in prime and before being courted by the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees.
