NWSB insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us his take on contract details of the Percy Harvin trade and signing this week. The Seahawks still have about $14.6 million left in cap room after releasing Leon Washington. More then enough to add some more cogs says Brett. The obvious point is this. Harvin’s new six year $67 million contract gives him the extra money in the bank for a nice NEW ride.
NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Jeff Budke says the Seahawks need to trade for the Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Rarely, if ever, is there a quality, pro-bowl caliber WR on the market this close to the trade deadline (moved from week 6 to week 8 this year). Kansas City WR Dwayne Bowe is unhappy with his current club, and could excel with a new team and playoff aspirations.
NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens tells us the Seahawks will not look to make a huge splash here but could look to upgrade the depth of the 5th or 6th player on the roster at this position. Mario Manningham a 25 year old speedster would be nice. Ben Obomanu and Mike Williams are candidates for being cut possibly tomorrow.
