Clinton Bell profiles one of the Northwests own, Willie Bloomquist of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Born in Bremerton, WA., but raised in Port Orchard, WA., Bloomquist is a true northwest athlete. Playing his high school ball at South Kitsap High School, Willie was drafted by the Mariners, once in 1996, and again in 1999.

British Columbia, and Gonzaga product Robert Sacre was taken with the 60th pick by the Lakers, in a move that could be more benefitial to the Lakers depending on what happens with Pau Gasol. Sacre follows fellow Zags members Rony Turiaf, and Adam Morrison as members of the Lakers.
