Danny Ferguson one of our Seattle sports area bloggers points out Coach Hargrove isn’t to fondly remembered for his days in Seattle. His record in Seattle as manager is 192–209, including a 93 loss season record in 2005. To this day Hargrove insists his sudden retirement had nothing to do with his Ichiro Suzuki.
Another North West Coach in the spotlight today. Current Seattle Mariners head coach Eric Wedge was a perfect candidate for the Mariners job after he was let go by the Indians in 2009. Since then, Wedge’s grit and experience has shown through in the Mariners organization. The Mariners front office and fans alike love the guy and hope he can turn the team around back to their winning ways.
Insider Steve says so what if the Anaheim Angels signed Albert Pujols. The Seattle Mariners need to tune out the gallery and keep with the current plan in place, and not over react to what other teams are doing. It’s a matter of trusting Jack Zduriencik and his model of operation. The Mariners are the Texas Rangers, just three seasons behind.
