22 down 26 to go! Canucks 2013 overachievers and underachievers

Stars vs. Canucks

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger C-Mac weighs in on the overachievers and underachievers in Van City. Keith Ballard looked like he had it all sorted out at last, skating well and moving the puck crisply, then Chris Tanev moved up in the defence pairings and the familiar error prone Ballard was once again back in the Coach V doghouse. Kevin Bieksa is the one defenseman who has been steady on both ends of the ice.

Chris Higgins

Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodges Love Em Hate Em hockey blog. He recaps and rewinds the win on Saturday night over the Flames. Richard says right as the Canucks are hot, they have a lot of time off. They don’t play again until Tuesday against Minnesota and after that next is Friday against Dallas. Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers: Tanever gonna give you up

Tanev first goal

Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodges Love Em Hate Em hockey blog. He recaps and rewinds the win on Monday night over the Oilers. Richard says in this game for about 58 minutes, the Vancouver Canucks slogged through a muddled effort that looked like they had left their skateguards on. The Oilers were just flying. One big negative. When Ryan Kesler and David Booth get back, Chris Higgins will find himself squeezed out of the top six. Nice goal Chris Tanev.

NWSB’s January 2013 State of the Canucks

Flames vs. Canucks

Our man Mitch D. one of our NWSB insiders and Canucks bloggers weighs in with his January 2013 edition of Nucks All Access..the plus & minus report. On the plus side. What a pleasant surprise Jordan Schroeder has been. He hasn’t been lighting it up, in fact he only has one point, but he’s been a solid player when called upon to play. Zack Kassian in seven games is leading the team in goals with five. Negative. Chris Higgins has been the biggest dud so far.

Canucks under the microscope: Jordan Schroeder

Jordan Schroeder

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Mitch Dyck weighs in today on how rookie center Jordan Schroeder is doing after 4-5 games of 2013 NHL action. The Canucks and more importantly Alain Vigneault have really let Schroeder get his feet wet so far this season. The Return of Ryan Kesler and David Booth could change his icetime, but we have no idea when to expect those two back. The roster will be interesting moving forward.

Canucks on the California swing. Part 2 vs. Sharks

vigneault

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Mitch Dyck reports today on second game of the California swings vs. the San Jose Sharks. Zack Kassian continues to impress playing along side Daniel and Henrik Sedin.

Canucks vs. Anaheim Ducks: That’s More Like It!

Mason Raymond

Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodges Love Em Hate Em hockey blog. He recaps and rewinds the win on Friday night in a shutout over the Anaheim Ducks. A nice win by the boys. Hilarious thoughts tonight. It could have been 6-0? Chris Higgins was invisible again? Or maybe, that Jordan Schroeder guy seems short. We should fix that says Richard. Meanwhile Mason Raymond is having a shockingly productive start.
