NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Alex McPhee is back again, this time taking a look at 2014 NHL entry draft prospect, West Vancouver’s centerman Sam Reinhart. Sam Reinhart is a player who makes those around him better and projects to be a future top-line forward in the NHL. The attributes that stand out are his strong two-way game, leadership and, maybe most of all, his hockey IQ. Furthermore, Reinhart is a coach’s dream- a player who you want out in every situation, who works his butt off and is responsible defensively.

Northwest Athlete Profile: Colten Teubert

NWSB insider Dave B brings us another profile featuring an athlete from the Northwest. Colten Teubert started his career with the Regina Pats of the WHL before helping lift Team Canada to Gold and Silver performances in the under-18 Championships. He was eventually chosen by the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL Draft, but was sent to the minors before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers.

Northwest Athlete Profile: Zach Hamill

NWSB insider Dave B brings us another Northwest Athlete Profile, following Zach Hamill. Hamill quickly caught on with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL where he caught fire. After representing his country in many competitions for Team Canada, he was selected 8th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. He played for the minor league team affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
