NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Andrew Deutschmann weighs in today on the reported possible signing by the Leo’s of former Vikings WR Emmanuel Arcenaux. The chase to land the former Lions wideout began at the start of the week when Arceneaux told CKWX he has seen the light and will put his NFL pursuits on hold. Andrew says personally he’d go for it. The opportunity to get a young, bonafide CFL receiver of Arcenaux’s calibre doesn’t come around often.

Bringing his team back from a 0-5 start to ultimately beat the Bombers 34-23 on home turf couldn’t have been a better way to end a fulfilling coaching career.

Since they last played Wally Buono stepped down as head coach but stays on as GM, and appointed Mike Benevides as the team’s new leader. We like you can’t wait for the 2012 CFL season to begin.

So have 9 of the last 10, the only exception being Geroy Simon in 2006 (who, it should be noted, was a BC Lions player. A bold CFL prediction. B.C. Lions quarterback Travis Lulay Will Repeat As 2012 MVP.
C-Mac one of our BC Lions bloggers tells us If the Lions can keep the 2011 Grey Cup championship team together, they have the potential to quickly add to their list of cup triumphs. As good as this team was, imagine how fearsome they could be with some of these past Lions greats. James Parker, Mervyn Fernandez, Lui Passaglia, Roy Dewalt, and Cameron Wake. WOW.

She peered over the city from her friends’ balcony east of Main street after the game, looking for some fireworks or noise or hoopla – dead silence in Vancouver.
