Sad news today from Jason Green our Seattle Mariners blogger. Mariners’ outfielder Greg Halman has been fatally stabbed early Monday in Holland. He was stabbed in the city of Rotterdam and his brother has been arrested by the Dutch police as a suspect. Halman was a 6’4″ outfielder that hit .230 with 2 HR and 6 RBI in 35 games for the Mariners last season.

The Seattle Times is reporting rookie first round draft pick and starting right tackle James Carpenter had to leave Seahawks practice with a reported knee injury. Last week starting rookie right guard John Moffitt suffered a season-ending knee injury.
