She points out the Mariners sucking means there’s no lack of commentary on TV, in the papers, and her favourite, over social media.

Steve Delabar started things off with a blown save in the 8th. After Seattle finally recaptured the lead in the 11th, they handed the ball over to closer Brandon League. He was horrible. Ichiro Suzuki has just 5 RBI in May. Not good from the #3 spot.

Outside of Hisashi Iwakuma and Brandon League’s performances, the bullpen surrendered 6 runs on 15 hits with Shawn Kelley and Steve Delabar surrendering the two home runs. Felix Hernandez and Hector Noesi struggled in NYC.

Kevin Millwood finally had a good outing, going 7-innings deep giving up 1 run. The bullpen had quite the day. Eric Wedge ended up using five different pitchers to cover the last 2-innings of the game. Only one of those pitchers managed to pitch more than 0.1 of an inning.
NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with some M’s roster news this week. Shawn Kelley has been moved back to the big league bullpen from Tacoma. To make room for Kelley, fellow reliever Erasmo Ramirez was sent down to Tacoma in a move that skipper Eric Wedge says is to condition him for a possible emergency starter role with the big league club.

The Mariners took on Detroit Tigers and swept their 3-game series in D-town. Then headed over the lake to Toronto and won game 1 of their series with the Blue Jays before losing two. Steve Delabar, Lucas Luetge, Tom Wilhelmsen, and Brandon League pitched well in Detroit.
Mariners insider Danny Ferguson brings us the Weekly Seattle Mariners notebook. The Mariners biggest off season news was the trade that brought Jesus Montero and Hector Noesi. We’ve since learned that Michael Pineda will be OUT for the season for the Yankees. In a surprising turn of events the M’s went 3-0 sweeping the Detroit Tigers, but 1-2 vs the Blue Jays.

Tonight in TO Blake Beaven is on the mound. His last start was his match up against Phillip Humber who threw a perfect game against him, not that the lack of offense was Beaven’s fault in the slightest.
