NWSB insider Rick Stella brings us his take on the announcement that Oregon State Beavers basketball player Jared Cunningham is going to declare for the 2012 NBA Draft. While fans may be upset with the decision, history shows it was probably a good bet. Now that he’s leaving Oregon State, though, can players like Roberto Nelson and Ahmad Starks step up to fill the void Cunningham leaves behind?

NWSB Insider & Managing Editor “Q” tells us college football is also getting ready to get into their spring practices and four Pac 12 programs are looking ahead to the regular season, which kicks off in September. The Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Washington St. Cougars, and Washington Huskies will all return competitive teams in the 2012 Pac 12 season.

NWSB Insider and Pac 12 college basketball blogger Rick Stella tells us call it a good omen, or whatever you want, but if the Oregon State Beavers can put together the kind of performances that we saw during the PAC-12 tournament, Western Illinois should pose little threat to the Beavers. Jared Cunningham and Sophomore forward, Devon Collier will be on top of their games for OSU.

Jason Green weighs in with his Oregon Ducks vs. Oregon State Beavers Sunday CBB basketball Preview and a free prediction to boot. NCAA basketball odds favor the Beavers by 3.5. The over/under is set at 152. Oregon State leading scorer Jared Cunningham (18.6 ppg) is coming off a 10-point game, he’ll bounce back. Devoe Joseph (16.3 ppg) and E.J. Singler (13.4 ppg) will need to play well for the Ducks.

NWSB insider Blair Thomas brings us his reasons why the Oregon State Beavers don’t deserve to make the NIT tournament yet. Although anything is possible in this year’s Pac-12, these Beavers are not anywhere close to the memories of when Gary Payton was a Beaver. Craig Robinson is slowly bringing this team back to relevance and if the team can make a run at the Pac-12 tournament.
