sounders

My favorite Seattle Sounders FC websites on the www

The rave green is everywhere

In a pinch and need to find out when Steve Zakuani is coming back?

Or just need to find out the score of the Seattle Sounders when you’re working late and all you have is your phone?

Rest assured, I’ve got you covered with my favorite places for all things Sounders.

NorthWest Sports Beat (nwsportsbeat.com)

My first stop for everything Sounders, and obviously yours too since you are reading this.

An eclectic mix of new school and old school styles of writing, NWSportsBeat is your home for the beautiful game, whether you passion is Portland, Seattle, or Vancouver.

With not only game recaps, highlights, odds, and previews, the site also allows each and every one of its visitors a chance to speak their mind either on comments on the articles, or in our very own team specific forums.

We also have the Android, and iPhone friendly web-browser, making it easy to connect with us from anywhere you are.

Sounders official website (soundersfc.com)

Of course if you like your news just a bit more formal, there is always soundersfc.com. A great site, with full schedule, links to the team shop, ticket sales, and of course, video footage from past games.

Another great thing about this site is the ability to change the language, for all of you bi-lingual fans out there. The influx of spanish speaking talent that the Sounders have been acquiring has made this a great way for their home country fans to keep tabs on their MLS careers.

MLS official website (mlssoccer.com)

With real time updates, a link directly to soundersfc.com, and full match highlights immediately following the game, this is another one of my favorite sites for Sounders coverage.

It is especially nice for scouting up-coming matches. This is when the post game video highlights come in handy, plus with links to all of the MLS teams sites, it is easy to find who is injured, out of form, or may just not be in the starting eleven for the next match.

Seattle PI (seattlepi.com)

With the fans of Seattle mostly interested in the Mariners and Seahawks, or at least that’s what the sports writers think, this is still a great place to find out news and stories about the Sounders.

With more and more soccer coverage being poured into the northwest sports sections, it is nice to be able to log on and immediately find what you are looking for.

Not at all like the old days where you had to do some serious searching to find soccer scores in America.

ESPN (espn.go.mobile)

Though I am not a fan at all of ESPN, or the ESPN bias, here is a handy little app for the smart phones. Or if you’re old fashion, take a look at the real website at espn.go.com.

Either way, ESPN is ever expanding their soccer coverage, especially now that they have the Euro’s on their network.

Though it is never on the front page, it is still pretty easy to find a soccer scoreboard on here. Just click on the sports tab, then soccer, then find a scoreboard. And you have it.

Sounders development site (soundersu23.com)

Here is a site that all of you Sounders fans need to get acquainted with. This is the future of our team, and it’s just fun to get to watch the development of these young players as the try to reach their dreams of professional soccer.

Though not as full as their parent site, it still offers some player profiles, pics of previous games, and some PDL news as well.

Plus game recaps, and the standings right on the front page.

So good surfing to you Sounders fans, I hope you enjoy these sites as much as I do.

And let’s get a win this Saturday against Montreal!
