Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 5 Predictions

Seahawks Fantasy Forecast

The Seattle Seahawks had their best offensive game of the season last week. Too bad that it came in a loss! This week they head to the Meadowlands to take on a Giants team that is on a serious role. Seattle has a chance to put up some points this week against a banged up Giants defense.

Will it translate to some fantasy success?

Let’s take a look.

QB Tarvaris Jackson 230 yards passing, 2 touchdowns – Tarvaris Jackson had 319 yards last week along with three touchdowns but a trip across country presents an entirely different challenge. Jackson’s numbers should be OK as the Hawks are likely to be playing from behind and having a hard time running the ball.

Confidence is a funny thing and I think that Jackson is finally starting to feel comfortable.

Is he Fantasy worthy – not yet. Is he looking like a legitimate NFL starter – he actually is!

RB Marshawn Lynch 40 yards rushing, 10 yards receiving – Marshawn Lynch scored his first touchdown of the year last week but only had 24 yards rushing on the day. He hasn’t been very good all season and in a game that the Hawks will likely be playing catch-up in, Lynch will struggle toward another bad day.

The Giants could get some Stud linemen back from injury this week making for an even longer day for Lynch.

WR Sidney Rice70 yards receiving, 1 touchdown – Sidney Rice is the only real Fantasy option for the Hawks. In two games he has 188 yards receiving on 11 catches.

Seahawks Marshawn Lynch

Seahawks Marshawn Lynch hasn’t been very good all season...

He is an OK start this week in a game that the Hawks will have to throw a ton.

WR Mike Williams 30 yards receiving – Mike Williams is dealing with a concussion but I am assuming he plays. He finally looked like a part of the offense last week – 3 catches, 36 yards and a touchdown. But he certainly is not Fantasy material just yet.

Williams will need to string together a couple of good games before I can consider him ready for prime time.

He only has 8 catches for 70 yards this season!

WR Doug Baldwin 40 yards receiving – Doug Baldwin is the biggest WR prospect for the Hawks but despite an 84 yard performance last week, he is still a prospect. 5 catches for 84 yards is nice but not Fantasy worthy just yet.

Keep tabs – Baldwin could be the unexpected Stud.

TE Zach Miller 20 yards receiving – Miller led the Raiders in receiving last season. This season he is a forgotten man – completely off the radar.

Let’s hope that changes and Miller gains some Fantasy value soon.
