Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Forecast
The Seattle Seahawks got their first win of the season last week and now have the unenviable task of hosting an angry bunch of Atlanta Falcons who are stinging from an unexpected 1-2 start.
The Falcons defense certainly isn’t anything special.
Will it translate to some good fantasy success for the Seahawks in Week 4?
Let’s take a look!
QB Tarvaris Jackson – 10 rushing yards, 170 passing yards, 1 touchdown – Do you think that Tarvaris was excited to have Sidney Rice back in the fold? Jackson had his best game of the season last week although he didn’t pass for a score (he ran for one though).
He has yet to pass for 200 yards in a game and certainly isn’t Fantasy material.
I like him to improve his numbers this week but still remain totally unflattering for Fantasy purposes.
RB Marshawn Lynch – 60 yards rushing – Lynch is in the same boat as Jackson – improving but far from a Fantasy start. He had 73 yards on the ground last week after combining for just 44 in the first two games.
Expect another slightly below average performance this week and hope that he hits the end zone for the first time this week.
He is not Fantasy Worthy just yet!
WR Sidney Rice –70 receiving yards, 1 touchdown – Rice is a difference maker and is the only real fantasy option on the Hawks roster. Play him as a good WR3 after 8 catches and 109 yards in his season debut last week.
He had 10 targets and should have around the same each and every week going forward.
WR Mike Williams – 45 yards receiving – Mike Williams was shut out last week – something that the coaches won’t let happen again. With attention on Sidney Rice, Williams will have a better game this week. That doesn’t mean that he should be considered for Fantasy leagues just yet.
When Tavaris Jackson figures out how to use Williams, he could be productive!
WR Ben Obomanu – 20 yards receiving – seems to be a man lost in the shuffle. There are not a whole lot of yards to go around and Obomanu is clearly the 4th option!
TE Zach Miller – 20 yards receiving – Miller has just having five catches for 31 yards in his three games combined as a Seahawk. He is not yet a part of the offense although he should be.
For Fantasy purposes, he is going to have to show that he is a trusted target before he warrants any consideration!
