Seahawks vs. Bears Week 15 Offensive & Defensive Game Balls

Week 15 MVP’s

The Seattle Seahawks went on the road on Sunday and got to the elusive .500 mark with a very impressive effort against a tremendous Chicago defense.

Defense was the key on Sunday – 4 interceptions, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble and two huge defensive touchdowns helped the Hawks en route to a 38-14 shellacking of the Bears.

For once, the Offensive Game Ball was a tad difficult to pick and the Defensive Game Balls were rather easy. I gave out two – the Hawks were that good on defense!

It was a true team effort on Sunday!

However, my job is to determine the players that stood out on both sides of the ball.

So here we go with another joyous version of Dave B’s Seattle Seahawks Offensive and Defensive Game Balls.

RB Marshawn LynchMarshawn Lynch rushed 20 times for 42 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for five yards as the Seahawks defeated the Bears in Week 15. His numbers don`t jump off the page but what does is the fact that Lynch is finishing drives better than anyone in the game right now.

K.J. Wright

He scored from two and three yards on Sunday to cap off two of Seattle`s only drives inside the Red Zone.

Lynch has now scored in a team record 10 straight games!

Marshawn Lynch, your dependability and ability to polish off drives with touchdowns has made you a recipient of this week`s Seahawks Offensive Game Ball!

OLB K.J. Wright – For the second week in a row, KJ Wright led the Seahawks in tackles – this week he had eight.

What is even more impressive was Wright’s ability to sniff out and disrupt much of what the Bears were trying to accomplish in the game – outside runs and screen passes.

Wright’s vision and ability to anticipate was a total pain in Chicago’s rear.

For that, Wright is a co-recipient of this week’s Defensive Game Ball.

DE Chris Clemons – Clemons was a beast on the Defensive Line for the Seahawks on Sunday. He registered two tackles and had two big sacks against Caleb Hanie.

Clemons also forced numerous holding calls against – penalties that stalled or killed Bears drives all together.

Relentlessness and the inability of the Bears to contain him make Clemons a worthy co-recipient of this week’s Defensive Game Ball – congratulations.
