Week 12 MVP’s
The Seattle Seahawks played a very good game in Week 12 holding the Washington Redskins down for the better part of three quarters before imploding in the 4th. Seattle held a 17-7 lead with 12:45 left in the game before the Skins reeled off 16 unanswered points.
There were some terrific offensive and defensive efforts in Week 12 – unfortunately they did not result in a win. The Offensive Game Ball goes to a familiar Seahawk while the Defensive Game Ball goes to someone that was in the running last week but just got beaten out.
So, without further adieu, let’s hand out the Seattle Seahawks Week 12 Offensive & Defensive Game Balls.
RB Marshawn Lynch – Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch had another excellent day running the football on Sunday at home against the Redskins. Lynch had 111 yards on the ground and he added a 20-yard touchdown reception from QB Tarvaris Jackson in the second quarter.
That makes seven straight weeks that Lynch has found pay-dirt.
Lynch has been a stabilizing force for the Hawks over recent weeks. They have given him over 25 touches in each of the last six games and have trusted him immensely when the game is on the line.
Lynch has had a breakout campaign and definitely gives Hawks fans something to look forward to each and every week.
Marshawn Lynch, you were a monster once again for your team. Enjoy the Week 12 Offensive Game Ball again and keep up the great work!
DE Red Bryant – Bryant only had two tackles on the afternoon but he definitely made his presence felt. Not only did he block a field goal in the game but he also blocked an extra point.
Bryant furiously fought through double teams all game long and his gas tank never wavered.
Red Bryant – your interception last week almost claimed your 1st Defensive Game Ball of the season but there is no denying that this week’s effort is certainly worthy of the hallowed prize.
