Seahawks Fantasy Forecast
The Seattle Seahawks have finally put together a win streak! 2 straight wins have then within two games of the elusive .500 mark and in second place in the NFC West.
This week they take on a reeling Washington Redskins team that has lost six straight games.
Washington is ripe for the pickin’ – you can bet the Hawks will be geared up in front of their home town fans to produce a third straight win!
Seattle is playing week and with the 12th man behind them, expect a motivated Seattle team to show up!
Onto the Week 12 Seahawks Fantasy Predictions.
QB Tarvaris Jackson – 220 yards passing, 2 touchdowns – Tarvaris Jackson is doing all that the team could have expected. He isn’t spectacular but he is winning games. Seattle is still in the bottom third in passing in the NFL but they are getting better. They have failed to record a touchdown in five on nine games this season – incredible!
Washington’s pass defense is middle of the road and should provide only a moderate test for Jackson and the passing game
RB Marshawn Lynch –90 yards rushing, 1 touchdown – Marshawn Lynch is on fire – touchdowns in six straight games – 88 yards or more in five of those six. He is a workhorse – 23+ carries per week for the last three outings and is producing largely because of the opportunities that he is getting.
Lynch isn’t spectacular but he is a hard runner that is having success behind an emerging offensive line.
Washington is a middle of the road run defense – Lynch should find some success again this week. While 100 yards is possible, expect something shy of that in terms of yardage with yet another score. Lunch is a decent RB2/flex option for your Fantasy team.
WR Sidney Rice – 40 yards receiving, 1 touchdown – Rice has been OK lately and Tarvaris Jackson is targeting him all over the field. He will be matched up against Washington’s only decent corner so expect moderate receiving totals.
However, I do like Rice to get into the end zone this week – he has the confidence of his QB and is a favourite Red Zone target.
Rice is a decent flex option this week for Fantasy.
WR Doug Baldwin – 50 yards receiving, 1 touchdown – Baldwin has been a nice surprise this season and with the extra attention paid to Rice, he could have some success this week. Baldwin is clearly the second option in this offense and is the favourite to score a touchdown this week.
Like Rice, Baldwin is merely a flex option at this point.
WR Mike Williams – 40 yards receiving – Nice bounce back game for Williams last week. While I can’t see him duplicating his stats from last week, I can see Williams having an impact this week! He is not recommended for fantasy purposes however.
WR Ben Obomanu – 20 yards receiving – Obomanu was hurt last week and will be limited at very least this week.
His numbers will reflect his health – sketchy at best!
TE Zach Miller – 10 yards receiving – Miller is getting more involved in key situations – not enough to warrant any Fantasy consideration however.
