Start ’em & Sit ’em Week 17
Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 17 predictions
For many of you the Fantasy Football season is over – congratulations if you took the Title. For others this is Super Bowl week and there is tons on the line.
For the Seahawks, it is hard to imagine a better game than they played last week – the points were flowing for the third week in a row.
This week the Hawks face a middle of the road defense at home where they have been absolutely money.
No shame in starting a number of the Seattle position players.
So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week – let’s take a look.
Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 17:
QB Russell Wilson
30 yards rushing 1 TD, 225 yards passing, 2 TDs
Russell Wilson has been masterful and has put himself in the Rookie of the Year conversation with some stellar play. The only thing that will slow him down is if he is removed from the game by Pete Carroll to rest him for the playoffs.
Assuming he plays all 60 minutes Wilson will have a good game.
Yes folks, he is a top 10 Fantasy option this week! Start him and watch him put up quality numbers again thanks to his rushing ability.
RB Marshawn Lynch
100 yards rushing, 1 TD, 2 catch 20 yards
Marshawn Lynch has to be started this week after another good week against San Francisco’s vaunted defense last week. He is a lock for 25 touches and 100 yards combined with a touchdown, maybe 2. Lynch, like Wilson is a top 10 option this week – maybe top 5. He is an every week start and this week is no different.
WR Sidney Rice
4 catches, 55 yards, 1 TD
Sidney Rice has been consistent all year – 50-70 yards and a score is almost guaranteed. In deep leagues, Rice is a decent flex as he has been for six or so weeks.
WR Golden Tate
3 catches, 50 yards
Tate’s production has fallen off mostly because he isn’t scoring. I think he struggles a tad again but there is no denying his upside. I would keep Golden Tate on the benches but wouldn’t be surprised to see him score against St. Louis’s OK secondary.
For now, I project an average game – not startable but admit that he could hold some sleeper status for your squad this week.
TE Zach Miller
3 catches, 40 yards 1 TD
He is still too risky to start in Fantasy but I like his chances for a better-than-average game in Week 17.
1 FG 2 XP
Defense / Special Teams
300 yards, 3 sacks, 2 Int. 1 FF
At home, against a bad offense that has a history of turning the ball over, you have to start Seattle’s defense this week – they are a top 5 option at CenturyLink.
The crowd noise has been a great benefit for this unit – look for the 12th man to contribute to Seattle maintaining their Top 3 status for Fantasy – start!
