Now we’re hearing from HC Pete Carroll that Sidney Rice is going to go on IR, which will officially end his season.
Rice sustained his second head injury in the past three weeks last Sunday versus Washington.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. Obomanu replaced Rice when he left in Week 12 and finished with three three receptions for 26 yards during a 23-17 loss.
From Seahawks beat reporter Danny O’Neil on Twitter,
“#Seahawks WR Sidney Rice to IR. “It’s the right thing to do,” said coach Pete Carroll.”
NFL Insider Adam Schefter also tweeted this,
“Pete Carroll said Seahawks will place WR Sidney Rice on injured reserve today.”
This was the former Minnesota Vikings Sidney Rice’s first year with the Seattle Seahawks. He signed a Five Year Free Agent contract in the off-season.

The contract was worth $41 million, with $18.5 million guaranteed.
The deal also included $3 million in escalators tied to Pro Bowl berths.
What do you think Seahawks Nation? Comments welcome on this one. I’m starting to think #18 could be turning into another BUST in the long standing tradition of Seattle Seahawks WR busts.
