No Game Balls This Week!
Hey! Only 5 penalties! Woohoo! Reason to celebrate right, Seattle Seahawks fans?
We lost to the RAMS. The Rams! They are who we thought they were, And we let ’em off the hook!
Embarrassing day for the 12th Man.
Shockingly, the Offensive Line had another down day on Sunday. Rookie Russell Wilson was only sacked twice, but he officially logged seven carries.
John Moffitt got injured again this week and could miss two weeks, so everyone’s favorite defensive tackle turned offensive guard JR Sweezy or Paul McQuistan will be pressed into action at right guard.
Assuming James Carpenter stays at LG again.
The running game is the only positive I can take away from the offense’s performance.
Russell Wilson had the game I was awaiting since he was named starter. He had his day where you have to sit back, relax and say to yourself ‘He’s still a rookie’.
Three interceptions, all three I credit to poor decisions. He actually completed 17 of 25 passes, but for a measly 160 yards and no touchdowns.
The one positive thing I can say about Russ is that he spread the ball around to SEVEN receivers.
It’s not time to call for the former acclaimed savior, Matt Flynn, to get the start but the offense needs to start repaying the defense for keeping this team in games every week.
It’s not going to get any easier with the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers coming up around the corner.
8 Sacks Last Week…
Not so fast!
This week just two sacks, both from defensive tackles. Jason Jones and Alan Branch were the guys that got to Sam Bradford.
Despite the loss, I still love this defense and that’s the only thing bad I can say about it this week. Secondary? Still freakin’ awesome.
Oh baby! Seafense!
Ref! Over Here!
Thanks for costing us 6, refs.
I’m not blaming the refs for the fake field goal touchdown the Rams scored, but Pete Carroll ran onto the field to call a timeout (awesome job by staff upstairs for spotting it) and wasn’t heard nor seen.
Leon Washington made the most of an actual kickoff return opportunity (!) and took it back 69 yards!
Jon Ryan is still a badass.
The Seattle Seahawks head to Carolina this week to take on the terrific and quadruple headed running game.
