Betting on Tennessee v Seattle?
Seahawks Look to Bounce Back on Home Turf
The Seattle Seahawks return home this week from what was a fairly productive road trip — a win and a loss against two AFC powerhouses.
The Hawks weren’t going to win every game this year, but showed that they can hang with absolutely anyone despite a heartbreaking loss to the Colts last week.
The good news is that they are back at CenturyLink this week where they have not lost since December 2011.
Their opponent this week, the Tennessee Titans, have been surprisingly good despite a substandard campaign from their star running back. Luckily for Seattle, the Titans will trot out their backup quarterback Sunday.

The Titans will have issues with the 12th man this week – no doubt. Even the elite teams have the last couple of years. That said, Tennessee played well last week against Kansas City and may have deserved a better fate.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, off of a two-score, 247 yard performance against the Chiefs should be a little match for a Seattle defense that will surely be chomping at the bit to avenge what was an uncharacteristically average effort last week. Fitzpatrick does have a history against Seattle – he threw for just over 100 yards last year when Seattle destroyed the Buffalo Bills.
Chris Johnson will have to have a big game Sunday, but his numbers this year don’t exactly point to a huge outing. He is averaging 3.1 yards per carry and 58.8 yards per game this year – not exactly awe-inspiring stats when faced with the prospect of going against the best defense in the NFL.
While Tennessee’s defense has been OK this year, this is a unit that gave up 298 yards and three touchdowns to Matt Schaub in their last road game and allowed Jamaal Charles 145 yards just last week.
The Seahawks have proven this year that they can beat you with the running game, the passing game and on defense – there simply are no holes on this team! Add in the 12th man, and the Hawks appear to be unstoppable ahead of this weekend.
Russell Wilson passed for 210 yards and 2 TDs while rushing for 102 yards last week and is a master of taking what defenses give him. All three receivers, and even Jermaine Kerse have had big games this year – it is virtually impossible to pick a pass catcher to shadow! Add in the fact that Marshawn Lynch is WAY overdue for an explosive game and Seattle looks prime for a big effort offensively on Sunday.
As mentioned, the Seattle defense will be eager to get back on the field to prove that the points and the yards they gave up last week was the exception, not the rule. Ryan Fitzpatrick is no Andrew Luck and Chris Johnson certainly is no Trent Richardson!
At home, Seattle’s defense is simply Lights Out and against an average Tennessee offense. Look for the Hawks’ D to completely dominate this weekend.

A few trends to consider:
• TEN are 2-9-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• Over is 39-19-1 in TEN last 59 games in October.
• Over is 6-1-1 in SEA last 8 games in Week 6.
• SEA are 13-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• SEA are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games in Week 6.
Betting against Seattle at home is gambling suicide! Nobody has come close to them the last year! The Hawks will take out their frustrations on a shell-shocked Titans team this week and reclaim their position as the team to beat in the NFC.
I feel sorry for the Titans – they will leave CenturyLink battered and bruised and with their tails between their legs.
Take Seattle in a romp!
