Seattle Seahawks (0-0) at San Francisco 49ers (0-0)
The Seattle Seahawks kick off their season on Sunday in a crucial early season NFC West tilt. Both teams made big changes in the offseason – for the Hawks it has been the offensive nucleus and for the 49ers it is the coaching staff.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Week 1 Preview
Seattle enters the game with Tavaris Jackson as the starting quarterback as uninspiring as that may seem. Jackson hasn’t looked very good at all in the preseason but hopes are that having Sidney Rice and Zach Miller at full speed for the full game will kick start Tavaris Jackson.
The running game is surrounded by talent – Marshawn Lynch, Justin Forsett and Leon Washington NEED to have a big year.
San Francisco, if nothing else, has something that Seattle doesn’t have – familiarity. Other than the new coaching staff, San Francisco is largely intact. Alex Smith isn’t great but he won’t likely have to be in this game.
Frank Gore is the difference maker in this game.
Straight Up Prediction: It is hard not to like the home team in this one – these teams split last season, both wins coming at home. Russell Okung is banged up and so is Robert Gallery – not a good sign for the Seattle Seahawks.
No chemistry means no win for Seattle on Sunday.
49ers win 24-13 (Sorry folks my glass is half emtpy)
