Start ’em & Sit ’em Week 8
Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 8 Predictions
Whew – what a dud the Seahawks delivered last week for Fantasy fanatics!
The good news – they won’t be facing the San Francisco defense this week.
The bad news – the Hawks are on the road again this week where they are a far inferior team than they are at home.
Seattle travels to Detroit this week to take on a previously vulnerable defense that largely shut the Bears offense down last week.
Are there prospects for an offensive explosion this week? Probably not. Is there some potential Fantasy magic in the cards for a few of the Seahawks? Maybe.
So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week – let’s take a look.
Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 8:
QB Russell Wilson
170 yards passing, 1 TD
Wilson has had just one really good game in the last four. He only has one TD pass in his last three.
Wilson can be counted on for 150-200 yards, a touchdown would be a nice bonus. He is not starting Fantasy material folk – not even close.
RB Marshawn Lynch
100 yards rushing, 1 TD, 1 catch 10 yards
The Lions are surprisingly good against the run – they have only allowed 1 rushing TD this season – none at home.
They held Matt Forte to 96 yards last week and Adrian Peterson to 102 yards in their matchup.
Still, Beast Mode is a Stud and he will get his opportunities this week – less than 25 touches would be a failure.
I like him to score and dominate this week.
WR Sidney Rice
5 catches 60 yards, 1 TD
I’m still waiting for Rice to bust out!
He seems to be good for 40-60 yards per game guaranteed but he can’t seem to get into the end zone. I think that changes this week but he is too unreliable to trust in Fantasy.
WR Golden Tate
3 catches, 40 yards
Tate was shut out last week but may see more opportunities this week with Doug Baldwin being ruled out of Sunday’s contest. He has had only one good game this year – I don’t see him having #2 this Sunday!
TE Zach Miller
2 catches, 25 yards
The Baldwin injury may help Miller’s numbers as well this week, but he is still only good for 20-30 yards.
PK Steven Hauschka
2 FG 1 XP
325 yards, 2 sacks, 1 Ints., 1 FF
You saw what the Bears did to Matthew Stafford and company last week didn’t you?
Seattle’s defense is terrific and should have another good week against the Lions. They are an easy start in fantasy this week.
