*ATS Matchup Report*

Seattle thankfully has Tarvaris Jackson back at full strength – they will need him against an impressive Dallas defense and an equally potent Cowboys offense.

Seattle would not have stood a chance if Charlie Whitehurst were starting at quarterback this week – plain and simple. But the presence of Tarvaris Jackson and his ability to find Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin and Ben Obomanu with regularity gives Hawks fans a justified sense of optimism.

Seattle’s passing game could find success against a Dallas secondary that has been average this season and has had its share of injuries.

The Seahawks passing game will be front and center on Sunday – Marshawn Lynch and the running game will have a very tough afternoon against one of the best run stopping units in the NFL.

Seattle’s defense has been good against the run this season but will certainly be tested by exploding rookie DeMarco Murray. The injury-riddled pass defense will also be busy with Miles Austin, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten catching balls from Tony Romo.

Seahawks vs. Cowboys

Seahawks vs. Cowboys Week 9 Gambling Odds & Handicapping Preview

Dallas laid an egg last week in a 34-7 loss at Philadelphia. But like the Seahawks, the Cowboys are a different team at home than they are on the road.

Dallas’s offense should be motivated to prove all of the haters wrong this week – they were brutal last week and were heavily scrutinized by absolutely every member of the media. Dallas will come out firing guaranteed!

The Cowboys owned the best run defense in the NFL before they were gashed for 239 yards last week. Still, the 4th best run defense in the league will do more than enough to stop Marshawn Lynch in his tracks.

The pass defense sustained another couple of injuries last week – they will field a bunch of second stringers this weekend.

Dave’s Free Seahawks Prediction

The Seattle Seahawks, despite an impressive road win in New York a few weeks ago is still poor. The Hawks are 1-7 SU and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight games on the road and the team is 0-5 SU and ATS in their last five trips to Dallas.

Dallas has been less than inspiring ATS as of late. They are 3-6-1 ATS in their last ten games overall and are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games as home favorite.

Seattle is in a good position to cover the spread in this one. They know that Tarvaris Jackson will be able to wing the ball around the park and they are cognoscente of the fact that they will be playing against a few second-stringers.

Dallas should win this game but 11 ½ points is too rich for me! Look for Seattle to keep this game close on their way to covering the overinflated spread.

Pick: Seattle Seahawks to cover the 11 ½ points. Score – 27-20 Dallas
