PR from Seahawks.com

In case you missed it earlier today, per a press release from Seahawks.com — Seattle have placed tackle starting LT Russell Okung on the injured reserve/designated to return list. A team can only designate one player a season as designated to return from IR.

“It’s a six-to-eight week injury, so we hope it will all work out right for us,” Pete Carroll said Friday.

Their next move saw Seattle sign tackle Caylin Hauptmann from the Cleveland Browns practice squad. Hauptmann signed with the Browns as an undrafted rookie free agent on April 27. He started all 37 games played at left tackle for FIU in college.
