Official Seahawks 53 man roster as of Friday August 31st 2012

PCJS Make Their Moves

The roster is set. The cuts have been made.

Per the twitter account we’ve learned the following players have been released, Phillip Adams, Pierre Allen, Allen Bradford, Deon Butler, Kris Durham, Paul Fanaika, Rishaw Johnson, Jermaine Kearse, Kyle Knox, Cordarro Law, Ricardo Lockette, Sean McGrath, Kris O’Dowd, Josh Portis, DeShawn Shead, Korey Toomer, Lavasier Tuinei.

Cooper Helfet, and Vai Taua have been waived with the designation of injured. James Carpenter has been placed on the active roster from active/physically unable to perform.

Matt McCoy a vested veteran has been placed on reserve/injured list. Walter Thurmond has been placed on reserve/physically unable to perform. (Does not count against the 53 man limit)

Pep Levingston has been waived from reserve/injured with an injury settlement and Allen Barbre has been placed on the NFL‘s reserve/suspended list. (Out 4 games)

The Seahawks projections were fun. The preseason was not.  The team trimmed the roster down from 75 to 53.

I nailed quite a few in my Seahawks roster predictions. I got a few wrong.

They had to get it done by 6 pm pacific time.

As always there will be a guy placed on the suspended list between now and next Sunday, a new guy will land on IR I’m sure. (To go with Morrah, Livingston, and Konz (Lucky Bastard))

GM John Schneider

GM John Schneider. Makin moves to make Seahawks fans happy!

There will more than likely be players acquired or a trade by the time this post has been live for 4 minutes.

It’s not play time anymore

I just hope Pete Carroll and John Schneider have the best team below.

That’s all that matters to me.

Here we go.

Here’s the official Seahawks PR on the roster…

Let the Debate Commence

The Seattle Seahawks next game is versus the Arizona Cardinals in 9 days. Personally I can’t wait, but getting the roster right is just as fun.

I love watching fans and bloggers and my fellow twitterers arguing and debating who the Seahawks 6th and 7th WR’s should be, and who the Hawks should carry as a 10th offensive lineman. Good times!

It’s quite humorous.

Anyways, I digress, check back tomorrow to see the OFFICIAL 53 man roster as of tomorrow Saturday September 1st 2012.  (I expect it to change every day until they play the Cardinals)

Reason #242 why I love Pete Carroll and John Schneider. They are never satisfied.

Win forever!
