Seahawks DE Red Bryant Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week…NOT!

Cruel Twist Of Fate

Trust me I wanted to write the headline.  But somehow Red Bryant was snubbed this week by the NFL.  How? Why? Who knows!

Apparently they wanted to see Big Red return a punt for a TD before they’d even consider him.

I guess two blocked kicks in a league where one blocked kick any given week rarely happens isn’t a big deal.

On Sunday Red broke thru with two more blocked kicks. A 23-yard FG block, and then he followed that up with a point-after attempt block.  Bringing his season total of blocked kicks to four.

YES. Four!

Even Joe Nash is impressed.

SNUB Of Epic Red Bryant Size Proportions

I could care less if “Trent Williams” sore little knee kept him out of the Skins’ special teams plays. Give the BIG man credit where credit is due.

Shanahan tried to, saying, “When I looked at it, I kept seeing No. 79 on the scoreboard, and I thought, How many can you block in a game?”

The answer? Big Red could have blocked more. Trust me!

Trust me Mike you could have put three Trent Williams out there and Big Red would have still busted thru your line.

They gave the weekly award to who?

Patrick Peterson of the Cardinals.

Big deal. He ran back an 80-yard punt return for a TD against the Lambs.

Red Bryant SNUBBED by the NFL. The 12th man gives him the Special Teams Award anyways!

So What!

We see those every week. For his efforts he gets his cleats sent to Canton to go on display!

I says pardon?

It was Peterson’s fourth punt return TD of the year. All of them over 80 yards.

Again. Big Deal.

The NFL has its award-priorities all wrong in my opinion.

When was the last time someone had FOUR blocked kicks in a season in a Seahawks uniform anyways?

The NFL record for most blocked kicks in a season is 6, I know that much.

Big RED is coming for you “6”.

Hold onto your jock Harry Newsome, that record is going to fall. Big Red has five games left to get you, and I think he will.

Feel the pain

I feel for you Big Red.  I know you don’t get a lot of sacks, but I see what your doing this year.

Your father in-law Jacob Green is in your ear. Your becoming a leader on this team.

A stud. A guy we need in the lineup EVERY given Sunday.

I saw that interception you had last week. I saw that stiff-arm. I see the RUN games your stuffing. I know your giving 110% every game.

Keep it up big man. Myself and the 12th man have your back.

And for this we give you…

Hey, It’ll have to do.

Sigh….I digress.

Dear NFL,

You are Blind,

Northwest Biased,

Ok now I’m done! Oh and I’ll watch your football games again next Sunday.

Here’s some NFL Video of Red doing his Sunday Smackdowns! vs. Cleveland #1 vs. Cleveland #2 vs. Washington Lastly his INT & Stiff arm vs. St. Louis.
