Seahawks Look to Go 10-1
The Seattle Seahawks continue their magical 2013 season Sunday when the play host to the Minnesota Vikings – a team that has really struggled this year but put it all together last week.

An underwhelming QB carousel and a leaky defense can be blamed for the issues in Minnesota – even though they posess one of the best talents in the league Adrian Peterson they have become a bit of an easy out for their opposition.
Seattle will get Percy Harvin in the lineup for the first time this season to add to an offense that looked terrific last week.
Seattle looked virtually unstoppable last week and could roll again this Sunday.
The Minnesota Vikings were a playoff team last year – 10 wins on the season bred some optimism that this team could take the next step. Nine game and just two wins later, the Vikings are looking like one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL.
Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel and even Josh Freeman have all had a chance to right the ship at the QB position but all have fallen flat. Ponder, who lost his starting gig earlier this year, will likely start Sunday if injury doesn’t keep him out.
On the year Ponder has thrown for 1246 yards, five TDs and 7 picks – not good!
At least the Vikings have a viable running game. But at times the inept QB play has affected even the great Adrian Peterson. Still, he has 786 yards and 9 TDs on the season. Peterson will have to be huge this weekend – if there is one slight weakness on the Seattle team it is their run stopping unit.
Defensively, Minnesota has been brutal – third-worst total defense as well as posting the fourth-worst secondary that allows over 285 yards per game through the air. Injuries have played a part – apathy has too!
The Seahawks made quite a statement last week in Atlanta by absolutely beating down the Falcons. Back at home this week there is no reason to think that they will let up at all. This team hasn’t lost on home turf since Christmas Ever 2011!
The passing game is clicking and is about to get better with Percy Harvin entering the lineup, the running game is stellar and coming off 145 yards and a TD from Marshawn Lynch and the defense continues to be one of, if not the best in the NFL.
Russell Wilson has been terrific all season long passing for 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns on the year — he looks like the best (other than Andrew Luck) of last year’s rookie class.
Poise and an understanding of what defenses want to do has come easy to this kid – it is a pleasure to watch.
Marshawn Lynch should have a good day Sunday – he has rushed for 871 yards and seven touchdowns this year and appears to be having a ton of fun right now.
Seattle’s defensive numbers? They are third in total yards allowed and second in passing yards allowed while giving up the third-least amount of points per game.
The Hawks are a nightmare to play against and really have just one guy to stop Sunday – AP!
Dave’s Won’t Cost You Anything Betting Prediction:
A few trends to consider:
• Over is 7-2 in MIN last 9 games overall.
• Over is 9-3 in MIN last 12 games on fieldturf.
• SEA are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 vs. NFC.
• SEA are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 11.
• Over is 13-5 in SEA last 18 games in November.
To think that Minnesota is going to go into Seattle and do what no other team has done in 12 games – win is nearly unfathomable – hence the huge spread. Seattle has had some issues covering lately when favored by double digits but I don`t think that`s the case this week.
Seattle`s defense is simply too strong to allow the Vikings to score at the pace they will need to in order to keep up.
Seattle likely scores at will Sunday while the Vikings struggle with the 12th man and the Seattle D. It looks like a 35-14 type game to me!
