That’s four games without pay.
How does this effect him seeing as how he’s on season ending injured reserve? It really doesn’t.
He’ll begin serving the sentence immediately. Players are allowed to serve suspensions while on IR.

Players are allowed to serve suspensions while on IR.
Moffitt started and played in 9 games this year for the Seahawks. Then went on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending knee injury in Seattle’s game against Baltimore.
He tore his MCL and PCL in his right knee.
The suspension means he doesn’t get paid while on IR, and will be completed by the end of the regular season, (even though Moffitt is hurt and can’t play anyway.)
3:00 PM Update: More reports are now surfacing on this story.
Per Seahawks Seattle Times reporter @Dannyoneil on twitter.
“According to John Moffitt‘s agent, suspension relates to a drug commonly used to treat hyperactivity. An NFL player needs pre-approval to take that drug, which Moffitt did not have. It was a mistake.”
Moffitt’s agent, Michael George, said that it was Adderall.
In other Seahawks news today. Russell Okung was placed on season ending IR as well after suffering a torn pectoral muscle last week versus the Eagles.
Okung’s roster spot was filled by guard Mike Gibson, who spent last season with Seattle, starting eight games.
I just have to say something here. This guy is doing performance enhancing drugs and he’s suspended while on the IR?
WOW
What kind of message is that from the NFL?
For the record. This is the first suspension for a Seahawk since 2001 for violating the policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
