It was a small sample, but freshly signed Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson had a shaky preseason debut last week.
He completed 3 of 5 passes for 13 yards. Backup Charlie Whitehurst was better, albeit in more action, going 14 of 20 for 115 yards.
However, head coach Pete Carroll said this week that he is not opening the quarterback position to competition yet.
Jackson remains the starter…for now.
Pete Won’t Budge:
He made a surprise call to KJR’s Morning show today and spoke with Mitch in the morning. You can listen to that audio here.
Also…Pete Carroll says QB Jackson, starters will play first half vs Minnesota on Saturday.
