The Seattle Seahawks had their chances in Week 1 but were unable to take advantage of multiple red zone chances down the stretch to defeat the a Arizona Cardinals. The Hawks return home in Week 2 to take on a Dallas Cowboys team that looked superb in their opener in defeating the defending Super Bowl Champions.

*ATS Matchup Report*

The Dallas Cowboys enter Sunday’s contest having gained the biggest confidence boost possible with a win in their opener against their nemesis and division rival New York Giants.

The offense was just one story in that game – Tony Romo shredded the Giants defense to the tune of 307 yards and three scores and running back DeMarco Murray was terrific in gaining 131 yards on the ground.

The Dallas offensive line did its job in keeping Tony Romo upright for the bulk of the game – they will have to hope to do the same on Sunday.

Perhaps the biggest question mark for Dallas was answered in Week 1. The defense and particularly the secondary looked great in limiting the effectiveness of New York’s vaunted passing attack. The new additions on the Dallas defense have already paid dividends and it is only Week 2.

As for the Seattle Seahawks….

They had a chance to win on Sunday but just couldn’t convert when the game was on the line.

Cowboys vs. Seahawks

The D will have to hope that they can slow, not stop the Dallas offense

Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson did an OK job of managing the game although he only managed to connect on 18 of 34 passes for just 153 yards. Coach Pete Carroll has praised Wilson ahead of Week 2 – the experience last Sunday can only make him better going forward.

Marshawn Lynch was OK in gaining 85 yards on 21 touches. He, like the passing game will have to be better to keep up with a Dallas offense that will make the Arizona offense look like amateurs.

The Seattle defense is the strength of their team and they did not disappoint in Week 1. But the Cowboys offer up a completely different challenge for this group.

The D will have to hope that they can slow, not stop the Dallas offense and that their offense will put some points on the board in support.

Dave’s Free Won’t Cost You Anything Seahawks Betting Prediction

The bottom line ahead of this game is the fact that the Cowboys are near that top tier of NFL teams.

The Boys look very much improved from last year on the defensive side of the ball.

Unfortunately for Hawks fans Dallas is complete and scary on both sides of the ball. Seattle`s offense will have to score on Sunday to keep up with Dallas and I can`t see them doing enough.

The 12th man will do their job but the players unfortunately won’t be able to keep up their end of the bargain!

I hope I’m wrong, but when it comes to gambling money you have to leave your heart out of it.

Pick: Dallas Cowboys -3 by a touchdown on Sunday
