Seahawks Aaron Curry Traded? Locker has been cleaned out

Seahawks Transactions:

The writing was on the wall wasn’t it? He has talent, he has ability, he’s not a bad guy, but man did he stink on the field.

Aaron Curry took less originally to re-sign with the Seahawks a few weeks back, now we’re hearing he’s been traded.

FOXSPORTS.com Jay Glazer is now reporting the Oakland Raiders & Seattle tell him they’ve agreed to a trade sending Aaron Curry, 4th pick in 09 draft, to Oakland for a pick this yr, and 1 next year. (Conditional)

#4 Pick Gone From The Seahawks? - He was the"Safest pick" after all...

The team’s first-round pick from 2009 was not at practice Wednesday.

His locker had been cleaned out and ESPN Seattle is reporting that KJ Wright and Leroy Hill (current Seahawks LB’s) wished him well “Down There…”.

Yardbarker.com is also reporting the move saying, “The trade is contingent upon Curry agreeing to a re-worked contract. This is the first personnel move of the post-Al Davis era.”

*More details just coming in from @MortReport on ESPN. “The Seattle Seahawks get a 7th-round choice in 2012 and conditional mid-round selection in 2013.”

Biggest Bust in the History of the Seahawks franchise?

Say it out loud folks!

Aaron Curry is the BIGGEST BUST IN THE HISTORY OF THE SEAHAWKS FRANCHISE.

Repeat after me.

Bigger than Dan McGwire, bigger than Rick Mirer, biggest BUST. PERIOD.

(We did mention him in our Seahawks Draft Busts article a couple weeks ago.)

Rookie K.J. Wright is on point now and will be the Week 7 starter for the Seahawks at Linebacker.

Wouldn’t a couple of these guys look good on the roster now? Hey Ruskell?

IMO Rick Mirer is NOT the biggest draft bust. Curry only had 50 tackles and 2 sacks on average over 3 years. Not Rookie of the year, NOT a probowl player, NOT on the all-rookie team. Biggest Bust PERIOD, from a draft standpoint. He was #4 OVERALL folks.  Dan McGwire was 17 overall so he’s not the biggest bust. Mirer led the Seahawks in several statistical catagories off/on in his time here, he sucked, but he didn’t suck as bad as Curry did.  Did you watch him on the field on Sunday? OMG. LOL

Rick Mirer was traded to the Bears for the pick(s) that became #71 future hall of famer Walter Jones…
