5 reasons No. 6 Ducks vs. No. 3 Cardinal on ABC could be EPIC!

Best NCAAF Game we see all season?

Saturday night’s HUGE Pac 12 battle between undefeated Stanford and Oregon not only has big BCS implications, but it may be the most exciting game we see all season and here are 5 reasons why.

My 5 reasons The No. 6 Ducks vs. No. 3 Cardinal will be AWESOME!

1. The Heisman watch

It looks as if the Heisman may be in the bag for Stanford QB Andrew Luck, who is an exciting play caller that WILL be the #1 pick in the next NFL draft.

Luck has passed for 2,424 yards with 26 TD and only 5 INT and he can also run the ball.

He has the knack for making the big play when it counts and is simply a fun QB to watch with all he can do.

2. Offense, offense, and more offense

This game will not be a 9-6 defensive battle like last week’s big LSU win over Alabama, as the Cardinal have the nation’s 3rd highest scoring team while the Ducks are 5th.

When these 2 teams met last season a total of 83 points was scored with Oregon beating Stanford 52-31.

3. Oregon RB LaMIchael James

If James had not missed games in the middle of the season he would likely have been in the Heisman race. However, he is now healthy and one of the most electric running backs in the nation.

Last week in his first full game back James rushed for 156 yards and he is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

James is averaging 8 yards per carry on the season. Yes I did say “8”

4. The big match up

The big match up in this game will be Oregon and their 5th ranked rushing offense going up against Stanford and their 3rd ranked run defense.

The Ducks have only faced one great run defense this season and that was facing LSU in the season opener.

Oregon lost that game mainly because they only had 95 rushing yards, which is 200 yards less than their season average.

5. Speed or power?

Oregon uses a no-huddle spread offense that relies on the speed of their players while Stanford relies on pure power with Luck, a great trio of TE’s, and an offensive line that has given up the fewest sacks in the nation.

One big key in this game will be if the Ducks can get to Luck, as their pass rush has the 6th most sacks in the nation and will be facing a Cardinal offensive line that is THE best in the nation.
