The Ducks have solid odds to win the BCS title last season after they came up just short last season losing in the BCS title game.
Oregon is at +1200 to win it all this season and they have good odds because of an offense that ranked #1 in the nation in scoring last season and they return RB LeMichael James, who led the nation in rushing yards last season and was 2nd in the Heisman voting.
James with speedster RB Kenjon Barner, Jr.in the backfield make the Ducks a team that rank up a ton of rushing yards.
QB Darron Thomas is also back and while the Ducks have the rushing attack their passing offense is a question mark since the team lost their top 2 WR’s from last season. Oregon is not all about offense, as last season they ranked 12th in the nation in opponents’ points allowed and this season should be solid again.
Their run defense is a concern since they lost a few guys up front, but their secondary is a speedy bunch that will likely come up with a lot of INT’s.
When looking at the Ducks’ schedule they do not have it easy, especially having to face 4th ranked LSU in their season opener.
Their Pac 12, yes Pac 12 now with Utah and Colorado, schedule is also tough facing Arizona, Stanford, and Washington on the road.
The road to the BCS title game will not be easy to do for a 2nd straight season, but if the Ducks can play solid defense and James duplicates his sick stats from last season it will not be a surprise to see those green uniforms in the BCS Championship game again.
