Lions Roster Shakeups

Lions: B.C. changing up offense to prepare for Eskimos on Friday

Something has to give for the B.C. Lions at this point. Desperation is kicking in. They’re just 1-6 on the year and have a real knee-knocker on the schedule this week as they travel to Edmonton to battle the 5-2 Eskimos.

Rumor has it Lions head coach Wally Buono will make some roster shakeups for Friday’s game on offense.

Reportedly, receiver Kamau Peterson is in the doghouse after multiple drops and blown assignments last week against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Paris Jackson may return to the lineup in his place.

The Lions should also get leading rusher Jamal Robertson back on Friday. He missed last week’s game with an ankle injury. He’ll send rookie Tim Brown back to the bench.

Robertson has just 196 yards on the year but averages 5.2 yards per carry.

BC will hope to catch the Eskies at a time of vulnerability, as Edmonton has lost two straight after starting 5-0.
