TORONTO ARGONAUTS (2-7) vs. BRITISH COLUMBIA LIONS (3-6)
Wow, what a difference a couple of weeks make. Going into last week’s game between Toronto and BC there was optimism for both teams – each club had won the week before and looked good doing so.

Friday CFL Matchup: BC Lions vs. Toronto Argos
Toronto finally did what they should have done a long time ago during their week of preparation – they cut ties with Cleo Lemon who had gone just 11-14 as a starter in the CFL and just 2-6 this season. More drama indeed! The good news for Toronto is that Steven Jyles is back practicing with the team and is a long shot to start this week. I expect Dalton Bell to get the nod this week. He is inexperienced and frankly underwhelming as a starting pivot. Long story short, the Argos offense is in for a long afternoon on Saturday – the busiest guy may just be the kicker.
The BC lions have turned the corner although a win against the hapless Argonauts is hardly a measuring stick. Travis Lulay gained Offensive Player of the Week honors based on his 25-36 for 309 yards and a touchdown in last week’s game against Toronto. For BC, they have been a different team since they acquired Arland Bruce. Bruce has made Lulay better, has taken the heat off of Geroy Simon who himself is playing great and has allowed Akeem Foster to break out and become a very dangerous target.
Offensively the Lions are as dangerous as they have been offensively in a very long time.
BC’s defense has come into its own as well. They are near the top of the league in sacks and have been monsters when it comes to generating turnovers.
Betting Prediction: The BC Lions have absolutely owned Toronto in winning 12 of the last 13 matchups. I don’t see that trend slowing on Saturday. BC is peaking on both sides of the ball and with the turmoil in Toronto, the Argos should be easy picking.
Pick: BC Lions -7
