Just in time for Saturday’s battle for first place of the CFL West Division in the newly-renovated BC Place, the official BC Lions Mobile application presented by TELUS is now available for download on the iPhone and Android.

Atimi Software, the developers behind the highly-polished app, worked with the BC Lions to craft an interactive mobile application that would connect fans to their favourite CFL team.
“We wanted to offer a high level of interactivity for fans through a new platform, while making in-depth information from the league easily accessible and available as it happens,” said Lions president and CEO Dennis Skulsky.

“Other Atimi-developed sports applications like the Vancouver Canucks app have been hugely successful, so we knew Atimi was the ideal partner with the most expertise in the realm of mobile marketing for sports teams.”
Working closely with the BC Lions, Atimi developed an app that offers powerful team branding, box score game day details and fan engagement. The app gives live updates of scores, stats, and standings throughout BC Lions’ games.
Fans can purchase tickets to games, receive push notifications for game times, view an interactive stadium map, upload photos and flip through dynamic mobile player cards.
“Mobile provides the greatest opportunity for professional sports teams to engage fans before, during and after games on multiple levels,” said Trevor Westerlund, Professional Sports Sales Manager at Atimi.
“We were thrilled to work with the BC Lions to help them create an app that has fans excited about the new stadium, and hosting the Grey Cup here in Vancouver.”
The BC Lions app is available on iPhone and Android platforms and can be downloaded for free.
The BC Lions take on the Calgary Stampeders at 7 p.m. tomorrow in Vancouver.
