Edmonton currently leads the Lions by one game in the standings – with one game to go for both teams after this weekend, Saturday night’s clash will go a long way in determining which team will get a first round playoff bye and will be hosting the Western Conference final in November.
The Edmonton Eskimos continue their worst-to-first quest on Saturday after a win at Toronto last week.
Ricky Ray is heating up once again (Offensive Player of the Week for Week 17) and his favorite receiver Fred Stamps has re-emerged as an elite receiver after a quiet middle of the season.
Jerome Messam is also playing at a very high level right now and is coming off 158 combined yards and Canadian Player of the Week honors. It is safe to say that Edmonton is peaking at the right time.
BC had a bad game last week to end an impressive eight game winning streak – a 42-10 loss in Hamilton in a game that they were shut out in the 2nd half.

BC Lions Hope to celebrate Saturday Night
Travis Lulay was off and Andrew Harris was not a factor at all. Geroy Simon hit a milestone however – he became the 2nd leading receiver All-Time in the CFL with his 42 yards receiving last week.
For BC, there are some injury issues in the receiving corp. It is just a little more adversity to deal with before the team heads into the playoffs.

The BC Lions have won the last two meetings between the two clubs – Ricky Ray has had all sorts of troubles when playing the Lions.
He has one touchdown and three interceptions combined in the last two starts versus the Lions. Perhaps the biggest factor heading into Saturday’s game is location.
BC Place has been very kind to the Lions over the years – they are 2-0 there this season including a win over the Eskimos already.
The Lions get a mulligan for last week’s game – expect them to come out flying on Saturday and make things a little more interesting in the West!
Pick: BC Lions -4 ½
