Make it Two
The B.C. Lions extended their first place lead to two games, over the 7-5 Calgary Stampeders.
They did it the hard way, sneaking out a victory over the basement Eskimos 19-18.
Offensive Game Ball
Make it 23 games now for Travis Lulay, with at least one touchdown. Anyone seriously want to argue against the ginger being the best player in the CFL?
He had a off* day today, throwing for a measly 260 yards and one touchdown.
He added 22 yards on the ground.
Geroy Simon caught a touchdown! He continues to improve week after week, this time catching 5 balls for 51 yards and that touchdown that’s avoided him all year long.
Now that it’s out of the way, look for Superman to become the number one receiver in BC again.
Anytime a running back catches ten balls and runs for over 100 yards, I’m going to give him my game ball. The former VI Raider, Andrew Harris did just that on Saturday, gaining 78 yards through the air to go along with his 101 yards on the ground.
An impressive performance by the Winnipeg native to earn the Offensive Game Ball

Is it just me, or has Adam Bighill gotten better since it was announced his direct competition was returning.
* On day for almost any other CFLer
Defensive Game Ball
Defensive back Anthony Reddick paced the defense this week with 8 tackles. Reddick has been having a very good season, so Saturday’s performance was just another day at the office.
Solomon Elimimian wasn’t in the lineup again, but does it really matter?
Is it just me, or has Adam Bighill gotten better since it was announced his direct competition was returning.
Three tackles, two quarterback sacks and an interception for the ‘too small’ linebacker. Oh, he also earns this week’s Defensive Game Ball!
Special Teams Game Ball
The return game continues to be average for the Leo’s, as they used 3 different returners on the punt team, and lead man Tim Brown had a combined 88 return yards, including a 41 yard kickoff return.
Marco Iannuzzi returned one kick for 18 yards.
Kierrie Johnson returned one kick and two punts for a combined 41 yards.
This week’s game ball goes to a really old guy. Paul McCallum continues to be impactful even in what should/will/could be his final season.
He went 4/6 in field goals, including the game winning 28 yard field goal.
