Pac 12 Odds
The conference season is heating up and there is no really clear-cut team that is the major favorite to win it all. On top of that all of the northwest college teams are long shots to win the NCAA tourney.
Let’s take a look at those teams and their futures odds to win the Big Dance, if they have any.
All stats and records are as of January 31st.
Gonzaga – 101.00
The Zags are 17-3, but are 2 games back of St. Mary’s who they lost badly to on the road a few weeks back. Gonzaga will probably make it to the tournament, but they have not beaten a ranked team this season and already lost to Illinois and Michigan State.
Washington – 151.00
The Huskies have been a surprise this season and they are 14-7 and tied with Cal atop the Pac 12. They have been playing great as of late winning 6 of their last 7 games. They are getting great play from freshman G Tony Wroten (17.1 ppg) and seven-foot C Aziz N’Diaye (8.4 ppg 8.1 rpg).
While the Huskies do not have a win over a ranked team this season they rank 30th in the nation in scoring and 11th in rebounding and will be a team nobody wants to face in the Big Dance.
Washington State – 201.00
The Cougars need to go on a roll, as they are only 11-10 and only 3-6 in Pac 12 play. WSU has lost 4 of their last 6 games and they are getting killed on the boards only ranking 266th in the nation in rebounds per game.
The Cougars may need to win out or win the conference tourney to have any chance to make it to the Big Dance.
Oregon – 251.00
The Ducks have flown under the radar this season, but they are 15-6 and in 2nd place in the Pac 12 1 game back of Cal and UW. They recently had their 4-game winning streak snapped and they have a solid defensive team.
However, they are weak on the boards and they have only faced one ranked team and they lost that game.
Oregon State – OFF
After a great start the Beavers (14-7) really struggled in the beginning of conference play, but they have won their last 3 Pac 12 games.
Their D is not very good, but they rank 4th in the nation in scoring and they can be a sleeper if they make it to the NCAA tournament.
G Jared Cunningham (18.2 ppg) is a great player that the nation has not really taken notice of, but that will change if the Beavers can make it to the Big Dance.
Seattle – OFF
Seattle will be watching the NCAA tournament from home, as they are 5-13 and as an independent they have not chance to win a conference tourney.
